FOUNDER-LED COMPETITIVE INTELLIGENCE CONSULTING

Competitive intelligence services.

Don’t react.
Decide.

When a competitor cuts prices, launches a product or gains ground in Search and AI, the hard part isn’t spotting it. It’s knowing what deserves a response. Describe the decision; the free Scope Review checks which engagement, if any, fits.

Start with what happened

Choose the situation first.
We’ll show what fits.

Pick the situation closest to yours. You will see whether the better next step is monitoring, self-guided work, outside research, execution—or a SERPIFAI decision review. You do not need to choose a package first.

Which operating problem is closest to yours?
Likely better fitCI platform or internal monitoring workflow

You need to know what changed—continuously.

When the core job is alerts, battlecards, recurring monitoring or a persistent competitive feed, SERPIFAI is not the infrastructure layer.

Compare operating models →
SERPIFAI pathCompetitor set & decision analysis

Prove who actually matters before you compare.

Check buyer overlap, substitution, geography and decision relevance before a weak competitor set sends the analysis in the wrong direction.

Open competitor-set path →
Strong SERPIFAI fitFounder-reviewed decision consulting

Before you move budget, roadmap or pricing, prove what the signal actually changes.

Define the decision, separate what is known from what is assumed, challenge contradictions and recommend only the response the evidence supports.

Execution pathUse the right delivery layer

You already have the decision. The bottleneck is delivery.

Do not buy another research layer if the decision is already settled. SERPIFAI can implement selected Search + AI, technical search architecture and search-led website work. Media, bulk content, link-building and unrelated engineering should stay with the right specialist or internal team.

01 · ValidateNarrow validation

Decision Check

Is one narrow direction worth pursuing?

A focused go/no-go check, not a complete action plan.

€1,250/ $1,500

1 decision · 1 company/domain · 1 market · 1 offer · up to 3 core competitors

Outputs

Decision Check: Proceed, Investigate, Defer or Stop—with the strongest evidence, its limits and the next step.

Not included

Implementation, meetings, continuous monitoring or a 30/60/90-day action plan.

Scope Review determines whether this depth is sufficient.

02 · DecideFull recommendation

Decision Brief

What should we do—and why?

The full evidence-backed recommendation, considered alternatives, risks and ranked next steps—not just a go/no-go check.

€3,000/ $3,500 standard

Reduced Brief rate, if offered in writing: €1,500 / $1,750

For a qualifying Decision Brief only. Your written Scope Decision confirms the fee before payment. A free Scope Review does not reserve a reduced rate.

1 decision · 1 primary market · 1 primary offer · up to 5 core competitors

Payment: one payment for the accepted Decision Brief total after written scope acceptance. FIT alone never triggers payment.
Outputs

One clear recommendation—Fund, Prepare, Defer or Ignore—with supporting evidence, risks, rejected alternatives, a ranked action plan and conditions for reconsidering it.

How a reduced Brief rate works

The standard Decision Brief is €3,000 / $3,500. A reduced fee of €1,500 / $1,750 may be offered for a qualifying Brief only if confirmed in your written Scope Decision before payment. The free Scope Review does not reserve this rate. A reduced fee is never conditional on providing a testimonial, referral, case study or positive review.

03 · ActivatePractical action plan

Decision Activation

How do we turn the decision into a practical plan?

from€7,500/ $8,500

1 decision · up to 5 core competitors plus justified alternatives/substitutes where needed

Adds

An actionable 30/60/90-day plan: dependencies, budget exposure, assumptions, priorities, measures of progress and clear points for continuing, pausing or reversing.

Important boundary: the plan is not hands-on implementation, 90 days of consulting or unlimited founder access.

Scope Review determines whether this depth is sufficient.
What the continuation buys

Review what changed without reopening everything.

Advisory starts from an existing approved decision. Each agreed review cycle checks material new evidence against that baseline and tells you whether the decision should stay, be watched, be reopened or be rescoped.

01Check for change

Check only the evidence and assumptions that could change the existing decision.

02What changed

Show what is new, what stayed the same and which new evidence matters.

03Reopen check

Check whether a key assumption failed or the agreed condition for reviewing the decision again has been met.

04Founder update

Return one clear update with the next justified action and any new boundary.

Still bounded: no generic always-on monitoring, unlimited research, embedded project management or automatic expansion into a new strategic decision. A new decision goes back through Scope Review.

Prices shown are a guide. You pay only after accepting a written scope. A FIT result never starts payment. New Decision Brief engagements use one payment for the accepted total. Activation milestones and Advisory billing are specified separately in the accepted written scope.

Service paths

Four decisions. Four places to start.

Choose the situation closest to yours. The free Scope Review checks the fit; the depth of work depends on the written engagement you accept.

01Competitor set

Competitor set & decision analysis

Who actually belongs in this decision, and what does the evidence justify doing?

When this happens

Competitor lists are growing, and your team disagrees about which businesses actually matter.

What you receive

We check buyer overlap, credible alternatives and evidence quality. You get a justified competitor shortlist, the differences that matter and the actions worth considering.

02Search + AI

Search + AI competitive decision analysis

What do competitor differences across traditional Search and AI answers actually justify changing?

When this happens

A competitor outranks you, appears more often in AI answers or gets cited by sources your buyers trust.

What you receive

We examine the searches buyers make, competing brands and sources used in AI answers. You get a recommendation on which visibility gaps merit action—and which do not.

03Investment

High-stakes competitive investment review

Which move is justified now, what should wait, and what evidence would change the decision?

When this happens

Budget is limited and several market, product or growth moves look urgent.

What you receive

We weigh business value, evidence quality, cost, risk and what can be reversed. You get a ranked direction: what merits action, what should wait and what evidence could change the call.

04Product / pricing / positioning
For B2B and SaaS teams

Product, pricing & positioning competitor decisions

Which alternatives are buyers truly comparing, and which product, pricing or positioning differences matter enough to act on?

When this happens

Buyers compare new alternatives, features or pricing, and your team feels pressure to match.

What you receive

We examine buyer needs, switching reasons, relevant alternatives and offer differences. You get a recommendation on what to match, what to change and what to leave alone.

Need continuous alerts? A monitoring platform may fit. Know what to build? An implementation partner may fit. When the evidence is unclear, SERPIFAI helps you decide whether—and where—to act.

01 · Observe continuously

CI platform

Persistent monitoring, alerts, battlecards and recurring competitive feeds.

Best when awareness is the product.
02 · Generate new evidence

Primary-research firm

Large interview programmes, mystery shopping, investigative fieldwork and expert access.

Best when missing evidence must be created.
03 · Decide with evidence

SERPIFAI

Bound the question, qualify competitors, expose evidence states and contradictions, and recommend the next justified action.

Best when the decision is the bottleneck.
04 · Execute the decision

Implementation partner

Delivery after the decision is made. SERPIFAI can execute selected Search + AI, technical SEO and search-led website work; other delivery should stay with the right specialist.

Best when the decision is settled and delivery is the bottleneck.
05 · Use internal context

Internal team + AI tools

Fast context-rich analysis, first-party evidence and self-managed execution—strong when time, independence and governance are not constraints.

Best when the team can own both analysis and challenge.

The research method

Qualify. Trace. Compare. Decide.

We test which competitors matter, trace the evidence, compare possible explanations and recommend only what the evidence supports.

  1. QualifyFind the rivals that matter.
  2. TraceCheck the sources and gaps.
  3. CompareTest alternatives and contradictions.
  4. DecideRecommend the next justified step.

  1. 01Define

Bound the decision, market, service and evidence question before collection expands.

  2. 02Qualify

Approve the competitors and signals that are genuinely relevant to that decision.

  3. 03Trace

Record sources and separate observed evidence from inference and unresolved questions.

  4. 04Challenge

Surface contradictions, stale evidence and alternative explanations that could reverse the story.

  5. 05Review

Founder review tests whether the evidence supports the recommendation—or requires a narrower conclusion.

  6. 06Decide

Provide a reasoned recommendation with conditions for reviewing it again.

Observed

Directly supported by the captured evidence.

Inferred

A reasoned interpretation—not presented as direct observation.

Unresolved

Materially unknown, conflicting or insufficient for certainty.

Reopening condition

The new evidence or event that should trigger review.

Where SERPIFAI fits

A useful fit review can end with “not this service.”

SERPIFAI is designed to narrow uncertainty before payment. A question without enough evidence for a defensible decision is not accepted as if certainty can be manufactured.

Likely fit

Your problem is a decision, not just a data request.

  • One consequential decision can be defined.
  • The competitor boundary materially affects the answer.
  • Evidence quality or conflicting signals are blocking action.
  • You need a documented recommendation with limits and next actions.
  • You value an independent review that can recommend defer or ignore.
Likely different solution

Your main need is continuous infrastructure or execution outside our specialist lanes.

  • Always-on competitor alerts or battlecard software.
  • Bulk keyword exports and automated audit reporting.
  • Unlimited markets and competitors within one fee.
  • Bulk content, link-building, media buying or general campaign execution.
  • Guaranteed rankings, traffic, revenue or outcomes.

Secondary service · only when action is clear

Build only what the decision earned.

The decision comes first. When the direction is clear, SERPIFAI can implement selected Search, technical SEO and website changes. If the proposed project is larger than it needs to be, we narrow it before you commit.

02Exact fee second

See the three implementation options
01 · IMPLEMENTSEARCH + AI

Search + AI Implementation

When this fits

Search or AI visibility changed. You know action is needed, but not how far to go.

What you are buying

The smallest complete set of Search + AI changes that the approved direction supports.

What we can own
  • Technical Search + AI foundations
  • Entity, structured-data and information architecture
  • Priority-page implementation, measurement and release QA
Boundary

No bulk content, paid media, link campaigns or open-ended retainer by default.

Check implementation fit Free review · exact fee before work
02 · ARCHITECTTECHNICAL SEARCH

Technical Search Architecture

When this fits

Site structure is blocking growth—or making a migration, rebuild or platform change risky.

What you are buying

One prioritised architecture and implementation path, not an unbounded issue list.

What we can own
  • Crawl, indexation and rendering architecture
  • Canonicals, redirects, internal linking and structured data
  • Migration specifications, implementation guidance and technical QA
Boundary

Multi-platform, multilingual or enterprise estates are bounded after the live architecture is verified.

Check implementation fit Free review · exact fee before work
03 · REBUILDSEARCH-LED WEBSITE

Search-Led Website Redesign & Migration

When this fits

The site needs to change, but losing search equity or rebuilding the wrong structure would be expensive.

What you are buying

A search-led rebuild or migration that protects what works and makes the next buyer journey easier to understand.

What we can own
  • Information architecture and search-led page system
  • Content/migration mapping, redirects and structured data
  • Analytics requirements, launch QA and post-launch search protection
Boundary

If a full rebuild is unnecessary, the review can narrow the work to migration risk control or Search Recovery.

Check implementation fit Free review · exact fee before work

Know what is being built, why it is being built and where the work stops—before you pay. If the review shows that a smaller project is sufficient, SERPIFAI narrows the scope instead of enlarging the sale.

Buyer questions

Questions worth answering before you commit.

How much does competitive intelligence consulting cost?

Decision Check: €1,250 / $1,500. Decision Brief: €3,000 / $3,500 standard. A reduced Brief fee of €1,500 / $1,750 is available only if confirmed for a qualifying Brief in your written Scope Decision; a free Scope Review does not reserve it. Decision Activation starts at €7,500 / $8,500; Decision Advisory starts at €2,500 / $3,000 per month for an existing approved decision. Final pricing is confirmed in a written scope before payment.

What is included in competitor analysis services?

We identify which competitors matter to the question, trace the strongest available evidence, test alternative explanations and show what the result justifies. The exact depth and deliverables depend on the agreed Decision Check, Decision Brief or Activation scope.

What is the difference between Decision Check and Decision Brief?

Decision Check tests a narrow direction with Proceed, Investigate, Defer or Stop. Decision Brief makes a full evidence-backed recommendation—Fund, Prepare, Defer or Ignore—with the risks, next steps and conditions that would change it.

Competitive intelligence consulting or software—which fits?

Use software for ongoing alerts, competitor feeds and dashboards. Use an internal team or AI tools when your team can own the analysis and challenge. Use SERPIFAI when you need an independent, founder-reviewed recommendation on a consequential decision.

Do you implement SEO or AI search changes?

Decision Brief and Decision Activation do not include hands-on implementation. Selected Search + AI, technical search and website projects are available through a separate Implementation Scope Review, with their own written scope and fee.

What happens if the evidence is weak—or this is not a fit?

We identify what is missing rather than invent certainty. The free Scope Review returns FIT, ONE CHANGE or NOT FIT. A FIT result is not a bill or a guarantee that a particular paid engagement is needed.

What happens after the free Scope Review?

The founder reviews the decision and its fit. If paid work is justified, you receive the proposed engagement and written scope to consider before any payment. You do not need to choose a package to start.

Can I inspect proof before choosing?

Yes. View the fictional worked Sample Decision Brief, check up to three candidates with the free Competitor Fit Challenge, or read the evidence review standard.
